Payments Account Setup

Folio partners with Stripe to help students receive payments and earnings! It is important to set up your Stripe account to receive your earnings in your bank account as you log and complete tasks in your contract.

To set up your Stripe account, navigate to Settings in the bottom of the sidebar and click the Payment tab. Use the Connect to Stripe button to set up your account.

Setting up your Stripe account is a straightforward process. Simply follow the instructions and enter the required inputs that Stripe mandates.

When you arrive at the following screen, please select Individual. After proceeding past this page, please add your legal name and either your Folio profile or LinkedIn URL where it asks for your website.

The Final step is to add a bank account or a Debit card for where you'd like your payouts!

After sucessfully setting up your Stripe Express account, you will be able to navigate to a dashboard to track your earnings and balances. At the end of the year, you will also be able to export any taxation documents such as 1099s!
